The Cup

Dear Team and Supporters,

 

Last Sunday saw us overcome a massive psychological hurdle on the way to a place in this year’s Chester & District U13 Cup Final at the Deva Stadium next Sunday (19^th) KO 12 noon. We need to be at the ground for 11am.  No matter what happens there, we now know we can match and ultimately beat Blacon- a strong and gifted team with whom we have had some titanic battles this season. This gives us the necessary platform not just for a Cup  win but also, importantly,  for next season. We want our team to stay together and get even stronger.

We have light training this Thursday (6-7 Waverton Village Hall)- anyone carrying even the hint of a muscle pull or injury is excused. We will need to be at our sharpest again on Sunday- after all last Sunday was only the semi-final. Lets ensure we finish the job this time.

We are likely to do the same again this Sunday and invite the entire squad in the knowledge that we may not be able to get you all onto the pitch- but we will do our absolute best to do so. Please come in full Waverton kit and bring drinks.

Finally we are planning an end of season get together (perhaps a footy match and BBQ)- planning for this will begin after the Cup Final this Sunday when we can  retire to the Ring O Bells in Christleton (hopefully with Cup in hand) for a pint. All comers welcome...
