Johnson Cup Semi-Final

Dear Team and Supporters

This Sunday see’s us compete in the semi-final of the Johnson Cup. We are playing Tarvin (who play in the mid-Cheshire league) at Barrow. KO 2pm. Please be there from 1.30pm at the latest. Can we also have a few volunteers to help with nets/barriers etc. We also need a goalkeeping volunteer!

Bring drinks and a winter top.

Also please note that our next cup game against Blacon has been pushed back to 13^th April. Please can you let us have your availability for this game.

Training and Cup matches

Dear Team and Supporters,

Training will be on at the usual time this Wednesday. When you get there make sure you warm up and stretch properly….before you starting kicking a ball.

This coming Sunday (30^th) we are playing Tarvin in the Johnson Cup. KO 2pm Barrow. We will announce the squad on Friday. Jamie isn’t able to play so we will need a goalkeeper.

On Sunday 6^th April we play Blacon in the Chester & District Cup- we are reigning Cup holders….how could you forget! This game has been brought forward to 11.30am KO at Barrow. Please let us know if you aren’t available for selection.

Johnson Cup Semi Final

Since my last email (which felt like 10 minutes ago) the next round of the Johnson Cup has just been announced. So instead of playing Malpas away on the 30^th March…we are now playing Tarvin at home in Barrow.

Training

Dear Team and Supporters

Training will be on at 8.30pm on Wednesday (Christleton) We will train on the 4g until the end of April then move to grass. Those of you involved in the Chester Schools Cup Final on Wednesday please make your own judgement as to whether you wish to train. We haven’t currently got a game this weekend. Our next game (unless a cup game is slotted in) is away at Malpas on the 30^th March. Following that we play Blacon in the cup semi- final (6^th April) This is the first weekend of the Easter break (at least for Christleton) so please can you let us have your availability for both of these games asap. I am aware that Jamie isn’t available on the 30^th v Malpas. Please check with Chester FC also as I think there may be a game at Bangor City on the 6^th.

At this stage in the season we know some of you are picking up the odd niggley injury- our advice is to rest and miss training. Focus instead on getting fully fit for the crucial games coming up!

Waverton Jets V JFC Boughton

This Sunday we are playing JFC Boughton in the league. KO 2pm at Barrow. Please can you make sure you get there for 1.30pm at the very latest. Bring a drink and come in full kit.

Tonight and Sunday

Dear Team and Supporters

Please try to get to the ground for 6.30pm at the latest tonight so we can sort tickets out. There is one spare adult ticket available because Matty Jones’ dad, Gary, isn’t able to go now.

On Sunday we play Malpas in the Johnson Cup. They have offered to reverse the fixture at Carden Park and we have accepted- it is a lovely pitch and unlikely to be waterlogged if it rains…KO 2pm. This isn’t confirmed yet so please watch this space.

England match

Dear Team and Supporters,

We shall aim to meet next to the ticket off at the Exacta Stadium between 6.15-6.30pm on Wednesday evening for the England V Turkey U19 match. Steve Spencer has booked our tickets so make sure you arrive promptly so we can allocate tickets and sort payment.

Our game on Sunday appears to be in the Doug Johnson Cup v Malpas. It will be at home in Barrow KO 2pm. Squad will be announced Friday.
