Dear Team and Supporters,

Great performance last Sunday- well done again

Training will be on this Thursday 5.45pm at Upton.  We are having to ask you all to pay a further £20 for 10 more weeks of pitch fees. Doesn’t time fly! This will take us up to at least the second week of January 2012.

Can you please pass on a cheque payable to AFC Waverton as soon as possible.

Our match this Sunday is against Groves Rangers at home. Provisional KO time of 12.45pm.  Please keep an eye on the website as some emails have gone astray recently.

Directions

Dear all

We are playing at Elton Primary School this Sunday. The directions are as follows.

Off the A5117 (coming from the Hapsford Junction on the M56) you come to traffic lights signed to Elton. Turn right into Ince Lane. Follow the lane until you come to the Wheelwright Arms. Turn left into School Lane. Go along here until you come to a Community Centre (we have been asked to park in this car park) I am told the school is close by and you can’t miss it!

Please try to be there for 12.30pm

Cup Draw

We thought you would like to know that we’ve had a bye into the second round of the Cup this season.....thats the good news.

Our first game in the competition will be on the 4^th December KO 2pm V Blacon Youth! Its just as well that we’ve had a good look at them recently....and anything can happen in the cup!

Training

 

Dear Team and Supporters,

We want to thank you for your excellent teamwork last weekend against Blacon Youth. In the first half we competed really well against the runaway league leaders of Division 1. The second half was much tougher for us but you all showed great spirit and determination and didn't just give in. We all learned a great deal. The Blacon Manager was full of praise for our team and said we will compete very well next year if we continue to show such improvement and team spirit.

There will be training this Thursday at the usual time/place. We don't have a match this Sunday so please enjoy your weekend and half term break. Out next match is on the 30th October away at Elton. Can you let us know well in advance if you are not available for selection.

Blacon Youth away

Dear Team and Supporters,

This Sunday sees us at Blacon High School for 1.30pm (KO 2pm) to face Blacon Youth. In the past we have always given this skilful and strong team a proper game....lets do this same this weekend.

There are a couple of players missing this week so can everyone available aim to attend. If lifts are required please let one of us know. Can those of you who are unavailable (apart from those who have already told us) let us know as soon as you can.

Dear Team and Supporters,

Following on from a fantastic team performance last week we shall train this Thursday at the usual time of 5.45pm at Upton. Robin will be taking the session so make sure you have a drink and have your running legs on.

The friendly against Blacon Youth is scheduled to KO at 2pm on Sunday 16^th. The venue is Blacon High School. Can you aim to be there for 1.30pm please. Please can you let us know as soon as possible if you are unavailable for selection for this testing challenge!

Our match on Sunday against Westminster Park Tigers will kick off at 2pm. The venue is Westminster Park again but thankfully not on that pitch. Please can you try to be there for 1.30pm warm ups. Bring a drink.

We also have a pitch booked for a friendly match against Blacon Youth on the 16^th October. We shall play this at home KO 3pm. More to follow.

Training and match

Dear Team and Supporters,

Following on from what was a particularly poor experience last weekend...we want to again thank both the team and our own supporters for the way they conducted themselves in the face of intense provocation.

This week sees us train at Upton as usual from 5.45- 6.45pm. Please remember to bring a drink.  Our next match will be away at ....Westminster Park Tigers. We will confirm details as soon as we have them.

On the 16^th October we have a gap in our fixtures. However we are contemplating playing a friendly match against Blacon Youth. They are keen to do this but we need to secure a pitch. Please can you put something in your diaries for Sunday 16^th October in the afternoon.

If you are unavailable for selection this weekend or on the 16^th can you let one of us know as soon as possible.
