AFC Waverton Jetys V Groves Athletic

 

Dear Team and Supporters,

Hope you are enjoying your half term break. Training will be on this Wednesday if you are about. 5.45pm Upton Sports Centre.

Our game this coming Sunday is against Groves Athletic. It is at home. The KO time is to be confirmed shortly. Both Robin and I can’t be at this game unfortunately, so David McKenzie has kindly offered to manage the boys for this fixture.

 

Can you let us know if you can’t play this weekend....if you have already done so, thanks.

 

Breaking news- Everton are going to win the FA Cup...and Waverton Jets are going to win the Chester & District Cup.....I didn’t say which season....however we do have the date of our next round fixture date. It’s the 20^th March and we will be at home against Vicars Cross......bring it on!

GAME POSTPONED

Dear Team and Supporters,

I have had to request a postponement this coming Sunday (vs Vicars Cross) because we only have 8 available. Their manager has confirmed that this is ok. Training is on this Wednesday still. Our next game will therefore be Sunday 27^th February as home against Groves Athletic.

Dear Team and Supporters,

Fantastic game today in very difficult conditions. You should be really proud of how you performed....and in no way disheartened. We have the makings of a very good team here...

 

 I just wanted to apologies to all supporters for the delay in starting the match. Not ideal in the circumstances.

Training as usual Wednesday 5.45pm Upton.

 

Can you all let me know your availability over half term as we may struggle to get a full team out. I will keep you posted.

Dear Team and Supporters,

 

A tough day at the office for the boys last Sunday. A pitch the size of Wembley, mud up to the ankles, gale force winds and some big tough opponents....not my idea of football development. Don’t be dispirited...our passing game can be reignited this weekend. We are at home (12.45pm KO- be there for 12.15pm) against Malpas & District. We can beat these guys....

Training at 5.45pm Upton on Wednesday.

Groves Athletic V AFC Waverton Jets

Dear Team and Supporters,

This coming Sunday sees us away at Groves Athletic. KO 2pm at The Hub in Ellesmere Port. The Hub (was the old Youth Centre in my day...scene of my greatest ever footballing embarrassment , a personal hat-trick of own goals....beat then one!) is opposite the police station /Council Offices  and just off Whitby Road.

Please can you try to be there for 1.30pm.

We’ll have to be at the races.
